Vernon Roberts' extensive business experience combines retail banking sales, operations, finance, learning and development, and client relationship management. Vernon started his career with banking in 1982 rising through the ranks to serve as a Senior Vice President focusing on strategic learning solutions at Bank of America. In 2003, Vernon decided to follow his entrepreneurial spirit and started a coaching and facilitation development company called Evoke Learning. Through Evoke Learning, now dba evoke virtual, Vernon creates a positive learning environment for his clients through masterful coaching that allows leaders and teams to achieve rapid growth in their skills as leaders, collaborators, instructors, and presenters. Vernon helps them develop new strengths in the methods they use to structure their communication content. He also coaches them on the skills needed to deliver that content in achieving their business goals.
Vernon believes that learning and collaboration exponentially increases and results improve significantly when people are emotionally engaged in and committed to the process. This belief, combined with his own passion for learning, is at the foundation of Vernon's engaging teaching style.
Vernon’s seventeen years as a business owner combined with his twenty-year banking career, equip him with a broad and diverse background that uniquely position him to deliver leadership, sales and communication content. Vernon coaches and consults face-to-face and virtually in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Vernon has traveled around the world, conducting leadership and executive communication sessions in places such as Dubai, Amsterdam, Malta, and Cyprus.
Vernon holds a B.A. in Economics/Business Administration from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) and an M.B.A. from Loyola University’s Sellinger School of Business and Management in Baltimore, Maryland.
