Her less serious interests focus on travelling, sampling different cultures and her YouTube channel “Another Dimension of Law and Mediation” (Otra Dimensión de Derecho y Mediación) as well as her Instagram account where she shares some of her creativity. She is a past president (and lifetime member) of the International Listening Association (ILA). She is a Certified Listening Professional (CLP). Dr. Anita has offered training to attorneys in the U.S. to enhance their listening skills in the practice of law. Listening matters in life in so many ways but especially in families and in the workplace. She believes that conflict emerges from inability to listen. Her passion is to explore how understanding brain-based listening habits and enhancing listening skills may prevent and resolve conflict in these settings. Did know that listening (after many debates among listening scholars) has been defined as “the process of receiving, constructing, meaning from, and responding to spoken, and/or non-verbal messages”… so it is more complex than you may think! One of the ways to deepen your knowledge is to measure your listening habits by taking the ECHO listening ProfileTM. Contact Dr. Anita to discover your listening habits to manage and resolve conflict at www.DrAnita.Lawyer or [email protected]. |
