ECHO's validation
Validity refers to the soundness or cogency of a measurement instrument. Although there are several types of validity most assessments will have some combination of four primary types of validity: Face Validity, Content Validity, Criterion-oriented Validity, and Construct-oriented Validity. The ECHO Listening Profile has evolved to reflect new research into the science of listening and has been rigorously tested in consultation with researchers at The University of Mississippi, as well as the University of Kent, England. Findings from these in-depth statistical studies are published in the International Journal of Listening article. We also invite you to download a more concise overview of the validation study. |
